Cookie Policy
Last updated: this page reflects the platform as currently built and is under ongoing legal review. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies PhysioDirect currently uses. It is deliberately short, because the Platform does not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies — we will update this page if that changes.
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. We use a single session cookie, set when you sign in, to keep you logged in and to know which account is making a request (for example, to show you your own bookings). Without this cookie, the sign-in and booking features would not work.
- Purpose: authentication and session management.
- Set by: PhysioDirect (first-party), via our authentication provider.
- Duration: expires when you sign out or after a limited period of inactivity.
2. Payment cookies
When you pay a booking deposit, you are directed to a secure payment page hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe may set its own cookies on that page to process your payment securely and detect fraud. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy, not this one.
3. What we don't currently use
The Platform does not currently set advertising cookies, third-party analytics/tracking cookies, or cross-site tracking pixels. If we introduce any of these in the future, we will update this policy and provide a way to manage your preferences before they are set.
4. Managing cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary and payment-processing cookies, there is no separate cookie-consent banner on the Platform today. You can still block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying signed in or completing a payment.
